We love food.
But, really, who doesn’t?
So, of course, we loved eating all kinds of foods in Barcelona. Unfortunately (but fortunately for our waistlines), we only had a limited time period to explore Barca’s food scene, but we were able to go to a few amazing food places. Here’s where we went (and what we ate).
- FireBug
An excellent brunch place located near the city center. We went relatively early (around 9 am on a Sunday), so it wasn’t too crowded. We were able to score outdoor seating.

We ordered Shakshuka and Kale Hash . Our drink was a Bellini (made with Cava – a sparkling champagne made in Spain).
2. La Tertulia
For dinner before our FC Barcelona soccer game (!), we had a light dinner at this restaurant.

We opted for tapas for dinner. We tried a variety of different dishes, including:
Tempura vegetables, Croquetas, chickpeas. Everything we ate here was delicious, and we can only imagine that the rest of the menu is equally delightful.
3. La Tramoia
We came across this place while searching for dinner places near the center of Barcelona. Many of the restaurants were packed with diners, so we were lucky to get a spot here.
We had a chicken paella that was easily shared between 2 people. For dessert, we got Crema Catalana (a creamy creme brûlée, that we actually learned to make during our cooking class) as well as a Molten Chocolate Cake with a side of ice cream.
Hope this was helpful, please let us know if you try any of these places or if you have any other recommendations for a couple of foodies like us!
Until next time, Happy Fooding!
